DRMcNatty provided access to all hosted software applications for document control, schedule management, user training and DRMcNatty’s Contract Management Interface for greater contractor efficiency, transparency and to submit documents directly into the LA Metro Contract Management database information on Measure R projects.


The Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) required a new system to provide project controls for the projects under the Measure R initiative. Measure R required a Program Management and Project Controls solution to adequately track project milestones, documents, and financial information.


The Measure R program represents a $40 Billion transportation improvement program spanning a 30- year period. To achieve the goals of the program, LA Metro needed the ability to deliver several projects concurrently while maintaining current staffing levels. Greater organizational efficiency was required in order to achieve success. LA Metro needed new software tools with greater reporting capabilities as well as transparency for all aspects of the program. Successful implementation for LA Metro required excellent design, deployment, training, and support.


DRMcNatty & Associates, Inc. (DRMcNatty), worked closely with LA Metro’s project controls team to implement an overall Program Management Information System (PMIS). The solution included design and implementation of the core Oracle Primavera products, Primavera P6 and Contract Management. Ecosys Financial Manager was also deployed as the third component of the PMIS solution. DRMcNatty provided the IT infrastructure for the PMIS solution by hosting all of the software applications used by LA Metro through it’s whollyowned affiliate, MLM Project Services.

Through early involvement in the project, DRMcNatty was able to provide access to all hosted software applications within 1 month of the notice to proceed. This allowed DRMcNatty to work with LA Metro on an aggressive schedule to establish an effective system design for document control and schedule management as well as begin user training. Additional tools such as DRMcNatty’s proprietary Contract Management Interface were deployed to achieve greater efficiency for managing contractors working on Measure R projects. Through successful deployment, design, and user support, the PMIS solution continues to provide transparency and information for LA Metro’s Measure R Program.
