With over 45 years of experience in construction and project management, Don McNatty brings a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to DRMcNatty & Associates. His career spans roles as a consultant, contractor, chief estimator, construction manager, and project manager – giving him deep insight into every phase of project delivery.
For more than 35 years, Don has specialized in designing and implementing automated project controls, estimating, and costing systems across a wide range of industries. He developed one of the first project administration software packages used on Los Angeles public works projects and has contributed to the design of nationally marketed software for cost estimating, scheduling, project management, and cost control.
A recognized technology pioneer, Don has led advancements in cloud-based and remote-access project management systems for over three decades. Today, he oversees a team of more than 50 professionals who are realizing his vision of “virtual project controls” – integrating people, process, and technology to deliver data-driven project solutions for billion-dollar capital programs.
Don is a Certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) and a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International. In recognition of his long-standing contributions, he received the prestigious O.T. Zimmerman Founders Award from AACE.
